JUSTICE & COMPASSION

HOMELESS

ALCF's Homeless Ministry strives to encourage those in despair and convey hope through acts of service that exemplify Christ's unconditional love, proclaim the saving message of the Gospel and welcome those in need of finding their true home in Christ.

Ways to Serve:

  • Preparing and serving food

  • Distributing toiletries and clothing

  • Organizing street and shelter activities throughout the year

  • Collecting and praying over written prayer requests monthly

We currently have openings to serve dinner to the unhoused at Street Life (hosted by Palo Alto First Christian Church) on second Mondays.

JAIL

ALCF’s Jail, Juvenile Hall and Prison Ministry is a valuable asset to the local community. By encouraging inmates in local correctional facilities through the Word, worship and prayer, our ministry teams have seen the lives of men, women and youth fully surrendered to our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

Ways to Serve:

  • Leading monthly services and Bible studies

  • Building relationships through prayer and fellowship

  • Exhorting, equipping and providing assistance to inmates

Over 60% of nursing home residents do not receive regular visits from family and friends. Through ALCF’s ElderCare ministry, we have an opportunity to pray and fellowship with seniors at nursing care facilities who may feel forgotten or are unable to attend a regular church service.

We currently have openings to serve at Los Altos Sub-Acute & Rehabilitation Center on Wednesdays for Bible Study and first Sundays for worship.
