Abundant Life Christian Fellowship is a unique community and a special place to worship. We are a church that is centered on our shared identity in Jesus Christ, and this reality is lived out in our culturally, generationally, and socio-economically diverse congregation.
We are a church that is committed to dynamic, practical, and Bible-based teaching. We are deeply involved in serving our local community, and our fellowship extends to hundreds of small groups which meet for connection and spiritual growth in homes all over the Bay Area.
God has been at work in and through our church for countless years past, and we joyfully look forward to His continued faithfulness. And yet, this season is not without significant challenges for our congregation.
It is with great sadness that we announced recently (December 19-20, 2009) the resignation of Pastor Paul Sheppard from our church. Pastor Paul had been the Senior Pastor of Abundant Life for the past 20 years, and his ministry touched countless lives. We honor God for Pastor Paul’s service and the good fruit borne of his ministry, even as we regret the circumstances of his resignation. Please join us in keeping Pastor Paul, Sister Meredith, and their family in prayer.
As Abundant Life enters into a challenging season of transition, we know that God will be faithful to us as a church. We ask our congregation members to pray for ALCF, to exercise patience and trust in God in this time of adjustment, and to continue to faithfully support the church through tangible service and stewardship. We continue to believe the best is yet to come for Abundant Life, because God is faithful!
