ALCF's 4th Annual Women's Retreat is October 15-17, 2010

It will be held amongst the beautiful redwoods at Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center (near Santa Cruz)

300+ participants will gather to worship, fellowship, share and listen as God speaks to each one of us. Relaxation, workshops, small group discussions and enjoyable activities will round out our weekend.

Guest Speakers

Karin Baker
Karin Baker is proud to be the wife of Pastor Dan Baker and mother to four beautiful daughters, Whitney, Kelsey, Riley and Brensley. Mother-in-law to a fabulous son-in-law, Paul and now the "Gigi" to her first grandchild, a girl named Charleigh.

Karin completed her undergraduate studies at the Mount Vernon Nazarene College where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education. She then went on to receive her MA in Couseling with a license in MFT from Ohio State University. She serves as a facilitator for GriefShare through Biblical Counseling.

Karin serves in the Worship Arts Ministry and feels honored to serve along side such wonderful people at ALCF. Her free time is spent with her family who truly enjoy being together! 

Pastor Sarai Crain

Pastor Sarai S. Crain graduated from Oakland Technical High School in 1996 before completing her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Santa Cruz where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Education. While studying abroad in Ghana, West Africa during her junior year, Sarai acknowledged her calling into ministry. After returning to the states she enrolled as a minister-in-training at her local church. At age twenty-four, she became licensed and ordained. She completed her Master of Theological Studies at the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley.

In 2003 she became an advocate and certified rape crisis counselor through Bay Area Women Against Rape (BAWAR) in Oakland.

In the fall of 2007, Sarai accepted an appointment to serve as the Director of Ministry Involvement at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Mountain View, CA. She has served as one of the instructors at the Institute of Biblical Studies, ALCF’s Adult Education Program as well one of the facilitators for a support group through Biblical Counseling. 

Above any educational or professional pursuits, her main focus is to advance and enhance the body of Christ by sharing the simple, yet life-changing story of Jesus as well as helping the body apply practical Biblical principles to our daily lives.
