KIDS

What if we challenged our kids and youth to know something more than just a long list of people and places? What if our kids and youth learned to hear God’s voice and respond? How would they be changed?

Each week, KIDS crafts worship experiences to introduce kids to a really big God who loves them and invites them to join God on an adventure to last a lifetime. We provide a safe and fun environment for your child where they will discover who God is in an atmosphere designed just for them.

CHILD DEDICATIONS

Sunday, April 28 or May 26 | JCC Auditorium | 10AM

A Child Dedication is your opportunity to dedicate your child to the Lord before the ALCF community through powerful prayer and the laying on of hands by pastors and elders. To participate in one of our next Child Dedications on Sunday, April 28 or May 26,

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

We consider the safety and wellbeing of your kids to be of utmost importance. Here are some of the things we are doing:

  • We require everyone over the age of 2 years who enters a KIDS room to wear a mask. This includes kids, volunteers, parents, and staff members, regardless of their vaccination status.

  • We provide hand sanitizer and will regularly wipe down surfaces that are used frequently.

  • We will decrease the number of kids in each room to provide adequate ventilation and space for movement and activity.

  • We require pre-registration.

  • In an effort to assure the health and safety of our children (most of whom cannot be vaccinated) we are asking that our Kids’ Volunteers be vaccinated until we feel comfortable removing this condition.

New Families

Welcome! Upon arriving at our worship center for weekend worship services, go to the ALCF Kids’ Check In Station, where an attendant will assist you in signing your child into our secure system and will help you find the appropriate room for your child.

Child Dedication

The dedication of children is a voluntary act in which believing parents publicly present their child and themselves to the Lord as an outward expression of their gratitude to Him for their child and as a formal appeal to God for His assistance in the rearing of the child. Such intentional parenting will lovingly lead a child to accept Christ as his Savior, receiving forgiveness for his/her sins and choosing God’s plan of salvation.

Because the child is a gift from God, the parents promise, as God’s stewards, to bring up the child entrusted to them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4; Colossians 3:21). In dedicating one’s child in the presence of fellow believers, parents are publicly dedicating themselves to the faithful fulfillment of their parental responsibilities (Deuteronomy 6:4–9; Proverbs 22:6) and are acknowledging their need of prayerful support and encouragement from fellow believers (Ephesians 6:18; Hebrews 10:24–25). The act of dedication becomes meaningful only as the parents explain to the child the meaning of this act and consistently carry out the promises made before God and the congregation at the time of dedication.
