Jail / Juvenile Hall / Prison Ministry
Members of the ALCF Outreach team visit inmates in the Alameda, San Mateo & Santa Clara County, jails and juvenile halls, and Solano State Prison, offering encouragement through the word, worship and prayer. Included in our Prison ministry we also minister to the families of the incarcerated through Angel Tree Ministries. If you are interested, please contact Cheryl Degree at x135 or cheryl.degree@alcf.net.
The Jail Ministry has become a valuable asset to the local community. Our wonderful volunteers currently provide services such as:
+ Leading monthly services and bible studies
+ Relationship building through prayer and fellowship
+ Exhorting, equipping and providing assistance to ex-prisoners
There are many who may think volunteering at a jail would be a scary experience. In actuality, those who are incarcerated tend to be much more open and receptive to the gospel. Volunteers often feel more blessed by the inmates than they ever would have imagined. So, consider your gifts and consider giving of your time to this life transforming ministry. Volunteers are asked to go through an application and training process and to make a service commitment for a period of at least one year.
